Don't flush that!

But the package says the item is 'flushable'?

That is correct, the package may say flushable - that does not mean it should be flushed. These products may or may not break down fast enough to allow for their claims to be met. These products can and do, cause blockages in the sewage system.

Please do not flush the following items into your pipes:

Diapers: including cloth, cotton, disposable or plastic
Wipes: flushable, disposable, cleaning or baby
Towels: paper, napkins, cloth, rags
Feminine hygiene products
Tissues: facial

All items listed above should be placed in your household garbage. Putting these items down toilets may plug sewer lines and could cause raw sewage to back up into your home.

In short, the only items that should be flushed are toilet paper and anything that comes out of your body.
