Purpose: To showcase the environmental efforts of area businesses, community organizations and individual citizens. The award recognizes that a healthy economy and a healthy environment are mutually supportive.

Winners would be encouraged to share their knowledge and efforts with the community and promote practices city-wide. Awards would be presented at a City Council meeting and promoted in the media.

Categories: Business, Community Organization, Individual Resident

Structure: Annual award in each of the three categories. Applicants would complete an application outlining their efforts / program. Awards panel comprised of City staff, City Council member(s), business community representative(s), and citizen(s). If there are no applications received for a category, an award would not be given for that year.

Community Organization / Institution Criteria (sample):

Residential / Individual Citizens (sample):
