Green Recognition Program Nomination Rules and Guidelines
WHY NOMINATE:
Businesses and individuals who are doing things to lessen harmful environmental impacts should be recognized, which may inspire others to make changes that lessen the environmental impacts on their lifestyle and operations.
Nomination for an award will:
- Share your story
- Recognize individual's, group's or employee's hard work
- Highlight good environmental practices
- Receive well-deserved press coverage
- Promote industry firsts and significant accomplishments
WHO CAN BE NOMINATED:
Nominees may be made for any of the three categories, provided their accomplishment takes place within the City of Fort Atkinson.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
The judges will determine winners based on the content and quality of the completed nomination forms.
Self-nominations are allowed.
The judges' decisions are final, and they reserve the right to withhold an award in any category if there is not a suitable winning entry.
AWARD PRESENTATIONS:
The award winners will be announced at the second meeting in February, that being the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 p.m. Winners and their nominees will be invited to attend.
DEADLINES:
The nomination window will be the month of January for the preceding year. Nominations should be submitted to the City Manager, 101 North Main Street, Fort Atkinson, WI, 53538 by January 31st.
