1.  CALL MEETING TO ORDER
 
Cm. Mielke moved, seconded by Cm. Zastrow, to move into closed session pursuant to Section 19.85(1)(e), Wisconsin Statutes to discuss land acquisition. The motion carried on a voice vote. The meeting began at 8:15 p.m.

2.  ROLL CALL
 
On call of the roll, members present were:

John Mielke
Jim Simdon
Steve Tesmer
Mark Zastrow

LaVerne Behrens was excused do to a conflict of interest.

Also present were the City Manager, City Engineer, City Attorney, City Clerk/Treasurer and City Water Utility Superintendent.

3.  LAND ACQUISITION
 
Discussion was held regarding potential land acquisition to be used for a water booster station.

The consensus of the Council was to authorize the City Manager and City Attorney to put together an offer to purchase the parcel for $525,000.00, subject to an acceptable Phase 1 Environmental study of the land.

4.  ADJOURNMENT
 
Cm. Zastrow, seconded by Cm. Tesmer, moved to adjourn the February 20, 2007 Closed Session City of Fort Atkinson Council meeting at 9:00 p.m. The motion carried on a voice vote.
