1.  CALL MEETING TO ORDER
 
A closed session meeting of the City Council was called to order by President Mielke at 5:01 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Municipal Building.

2.  ROLL CALL
 
On call of the roll, members present were:
Loren Gray
Davin Lescohier
John Mielke
Dick Schultz
Mark Zastrow

Also present were the City Manager, City Clerk/Treasurer and City Attorney.

3.  REVIEW APPLICATIONS AND CONSIDER EMPLOYMENT APPOINTMENT TO MUNICIPAL JUDGE POSITION.

The City Attorney reviewed the criteria and qualifications of the Municipal Judge with the Council. Discussion was then held regarding the applications received for the position. The four applicants included Maria G. Beyer, John R. Fiske, Charles Frandson and Julie A. Short.

4.  ADJOURN CLOSED SESSION AND RECONVENE INTO OPEN SESSION TO APPOINT NEW MUNICIPAL JUDGE TO COMPLETE UNEXPIRED TERM OF JUDGE WESTON UNTIL SPRING 2010 ELECTION.

Cm. Schultz, seconded by Cm. Gray, moved to adjourn the April 28, 2009 Closed Session City of Fort Atkinson Council meeting at 5:26 p.m. and reconvene into open session to appoint a new Municipal Judge to complete the unexpired term of Judge Weston until the Spring, 2010 Election. The motion carried on a voice vote.
