Fall Hydrant Flushing

Fall Hydrant Flushing will begin in mid-September. You may notice your water pressure varying and potential sediment causing water discoloration. If discoloration appears, run cold tap water until it clears. Flushing is done as routine maintenance. Please drive carefully around crews.

Revaluation Continues with Associated Appraisal

The City of Fort Atkinson will be experiencing a revaluation of all properties in 2017. The process originally began the week of September 26, 2016 and will continue beginning May 18, 2017. Appraisers will be in the City beginning May 18, 2017.

Foundation to help with Tree Replacement Project

The Fort Atkinson Community Foundation has awarded a
grant of $50,000 to the City of Fort Atkinson to help the city and the newly-reorganized Beautification Council purchase and plant hundreds of new, large trees in the wake of the emerald ash borer infestation.

To be more compliant with state statutes the Court Clerk’s office will now be at Municipal Bldg, 101 N Main. The office hours for the Clerk will be Mon., 1:00-9:00 p.m. and Tues.-Fri. 8:00 a.m.-4:00p.m. Forfeitures should now be paid at the municipal bldg. The Court’s telephone line will be 563-7763

Vehicle Registration Fee

The DOT will be collecting an annual $20 fee for all vehicles registered as being in the “City of Fort Atkinson”. If you received a renewal notice with the fee and the vehicle is not kept in the City limits, make a note on the application which municipality the vehicle is kept in and deduct the fee.
